In conversing with my friend Cassa about the previous song share/writing song I posted, I wanted to share this one as well.
I really enjoy writing to this song. Especially if I am writing poetry. This is one of my favorite classical pieces (for today anyway!).
Enjoy!
Hello writing community! For those of you who follow me regularly, I want to say thank you again for your support! I have been gone most of this month.
At the beginning of the month, I bused up my finger pretty badly at work. I had to get four stitches on the tip of one of my fingers and thus, having been typing much.
I have missed writing and, since I haven’t been on here, I haven’t been reading much either. I am hoping to catch up … at some point! Lol
I am hoping that in a week or so, I will be getting back on track! I will be picking up where I left off on my schedule – Tuesday, writing prompt day.
Blessings to you all!
May creativity abundantly flow!
Explode!
Write away!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Alright, my writing prompt for this week came from these folks.
19. Great Minds: Write about someone you admire and you thought to have had a beautiful mind.
It was December 2005. I was a Senior in college and had been a Christian for just over a year. I knew there was plenty wrong with the Church. Being so young and fired up in the faith, I was ready to denounce this nonsense too! This movie coming out was the talk throughout Christendom; well not me! I was visiting my brother’s church. This church was rather large and had a bookstore and sure enough the movie poster was all over! My sister-in-law began to tell me about the story behind the movie. I didn’t know about the Lion or the Wardrobe, but I wasn’t messing with that Witch! She assured me it wasn’t like that. A few weeks later, I went and watched the movie. … I was utterly captivated! This began the journey, of how C.S. Lewis has become the single greatest influence on my life from a historical figure and my choice for a great/beautiful mind.

Now, there is plenty of information about Mr. Lewis out there that can give you more information about his past and his impact on culture. However, for this post, I will be keeping it more personal for me and why he’s my choice. So, here are my five reasons. Let’s go!

Alright, that’s why C.S. Lewis is my pick. Who would your pick be? Let me know in the comments!

Another reason I like Mr. Lewis is how he was able to relate to and feed people with his words. He is a true inspiration of why I write. I want to reach people in a similar fashion as he did. When I read his books, at the end, I am not at all thinking about him, but rather just drawn into the presence of God in a state of thoughtful worship. How I hope I can write that way one day!

Books that I have read (many more to go still!):
I had plans for today. Oh yes indeed!
I was going to do a piece of satire; a tongue-in-cheek post touching the fringes of abortion. I know, I am going to get everyone stirred up in their feels on a Wednesday morning – at least where I live that’s what it is.
I also realize that I am a man, and I am not supposed to have an opinion on that topic … well it turns out that I do have some thoughts about it. As with any other topic, I am certainly open to having a robust – and respectful – conversation about it. But, I also know many of you are probably thinking …
But it doesn’t matter anyway! You see, my plans were derailed – by you!
And you can be sure, it was a collaborative effort! However, it was our blogging buddy Ms. Suchie who decided to push me over the edge with her interaction of yesterday’s post, last night!
I get a notification last night from good-ol-Wordpress and this is what I see!
The audacity!
Okay, but seriously, I was not expecting to see this. You all are wonderful! I know that I do hold some thoughts and beliefs that I share here that certainly may not be popular among the general populous. Like all of us, I am trying to figure out how to stand for what’s right, in a way that is articulate and creative. I appreciate all of the support that you all have given along the way.
I have been very blessed with many of the interactions on here and you have brought creativity that I didn’t even know was there! I certainly look forward to the next 500 – and beyond!
May we all continue to grow in creativity and expression as we share our love of words!
Thank you for thwarting my plans today and blessings to you all!

Hello everyone! Seems like I have been on a hiatus. Unfortunately, I have only been working like crazy which doesn’t leave much time – and certainly not energy – to write.
I am hoping to put into place a new format for posting. Hopefully this will give me good direction to be more consistent in what I want to accomplish along with providing enough variation to hit different interests.
Here is the format:

Okay, now, it’s already Monday evening – I got some catching up to do! I will get there and – hopefully – stay on top of it after that. I am hoping to maintain this format until the end of the month and see if any changes will take place from there.
I would love to hear from you! Thoughts about this format or things you want to see?
Blessings.
